Introduction to Screenprinting

This course is recommended for those with little or no experience of silk-screen printing. Participants will be taught the basic techniques via hands-on one to one sessions.
Participants will learn how to
- Expose and coat a screen using photo emulsion
- Operate an exposure unit and use a flat-bed press
- Prepare suitable artwork

Use colours efficiently and mix them well

Print using correct registration

Clean and degrease screens after use
You will need to bring an image (A4 or A3). The image could be a drawing, a photo, and a newspaper print... It should be of good quality, photocopied black and white onto either acetate or paper.
Times and Dates
10am-1pm session July only (Monday to Saturday)
2am-5pm session July only (Monday to Saturday)
5-8pm evening session (available Mon-Thurs from now on)
These one to one 3 hour sessions can be arranged to suit your
schedule.
