This one day course is a hands-on workshop showing artists how to control colour in a digital environment. The day starts with photographic capture and scanning of work through post-production with ACR & Photoshop. It finishes with each participant producing an archival fine art print of their work.
Best practice is followed at every step so that the final file can be printed with confidence by any studio using international colour management principles.
This practical workshop demystifies technical issues through doing and explores the creative possibilities digital print making has to offer including using handmade papers and other specialist media.
The course empowers artists to ask questions of a print studio to get the results they want. A full set of course notes is provided.
What do I need to bring:
Laptop with Photoshop ( a trial version can be downloaded from www.adobe.com).
A digital camera or artwork (A3 or smaller) to scan.
Participants should have a basic familiarity with Photoshop.
